SunButter Smoothie Bowls with Chocolate Drizzle
Hello! I am really excited to share this recipe with you! I have been quite obsessed with smoothie bowls lately. They are so healthy and so fun to create and eat. My children love them too. I was wanting to create a more dessert like smoothie bowl. The combination of the frozen bananas and SunButter in this recipe really creates a divine taste, almost like caramel. The chocolate drizzle completes it. Beware if you make this, you will end up wanting one every day. It is a mouthful of bliss.
Ingredients:
Smoothie:
7 cups frozen bananas
1 cup sunflower seed butter
2 cups almond milk
1 cup coconut water
1/4 tsp ground vanilla bean powder
Chocolate Drizzle:
1 cup cocoa powder
3/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup almond milk
1/4 tsp ground vanilla bean powder
Directions:
Smoothie Bowls:
Fill blender to the 7 cup mark with frozen bananas. Add sunflower seed butter, almond milk, coconut water, and vanilla powder. Blend until smooth. Top with chopped bananas, sunflower seeds, and chocolate drizzle. Then bliss out!
Chocolate Drizzle:
Combine cocoa powder, maple syrup, almond milk, and vanilla bean powder in a medium size mixing bowl. Use an electric mixer to mix until smooth. Use a funnel to pour into a food grade plastic squeeze bottle. You can use it right away or chill it in the refrigerator.
Notes:
I highly recommend using a high quality blender for this recipe. Vitamix is a great brand. Also, you will have left over chocolate drizzle. You can use it on ice cream, toast, or whatever your heart desires.
